Five fires broke out across Tulsa early Wednesday, Sept. 30, and the Tulsa Fire Department says all five are being investigated as arson-related.
Firefighters responded to the blazes between approximately 3 and 6 a.m., the department said in a post on X. No civilian injuries or fatalities were reported.
The fires struck a mix of vehicles, businesses and a vacant home, according to KTUL:
- A Dodge pickup truck near Pine Street and Wheeling Avenue.
- An RV at a business near Jasper Street and Xanthus Avenue.
- A trash truck containing refuse at Otis Collins Trash Service, 2437 E. King St.
- An auto body shop at 831 N. Lewis Place, where firefighters found wood stacked around an exterior overhead door and a couch cushion on fire.
- A vacant home at 2543 E. Admiral Place.
Fire crews quickly brought the blaze at the auto body shop under control, KTUL reported.
The department has not identified a suspect or disclosed whether investigators believe a single person is responsible for all five fires. No arrests have been announced. No suspect description or stated motive appears in any public account of the investigation so far.
The department urged the public to come forward with information. The circumstances of all five fires remain under investigation.
