Tulsa Community College will have 17,211 students in its classrooms this fall, the most in 13 years and the fourth straight year of growth at Tulsa's only community college.

That's a 2.6% jump over Fall 2025.

Returning students drove the biggest increase at 10%, according to TCC's enrollment announcement. First-time students grew 3%, and concurrent enrollment among high school students also climbed 3%.

The sharpest growth came in Health Sciences, where enrollment jumped from roughly 1,300 students last fall to more than 1,700 this year. Those programs include nursing, dental hygiene, physical therapist assistant, respiratory care and healthcare administration.

TCC President and CEO Leigh B. Goodson said the numbers reflect the college's role across northeastern Oklahoma.

"Students come to TCC for many reasons, but they share a need for a high-quality education that is affordable and accessible," Goodson said. "Our responsibility is to help students move successfully from TCC to a degree, a career or the next step in their education."

New Data Analytics degree oversubscribed

Oklahoma's first Data Analytics associate degree launched at TCC this fall and immediately exceeded its enrollment target, forcing the college to add a second section. The program, offered entirely online, prepares students for careers in healthcare, business, cybersecurity and manufacturing.

The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics projects data scientist employment to grow 34% from 2024 to 2034. David Paige, dean of TCC's School of Mathematics and Engineering, said in a July 14 announcement of the program that it would help "strengthen a talent pipeline that meets the needs of employers in the Tulsa area."

Students enrolling in the Data Analytics certificate track may qualify for tuition coverage through a federal grant tied to the Tulsa Regional Advanced Mobility initiative, according to TCC.

Dual credit program earns national distinction

TCC is Oklahoma's largest provider of dual credit courses for high school students. In June, its program became the first in the state to earn accreditation from the National Alliance of Concurrent Enrollment Partnerships, one of only 136 programs nationwide with that distinction, according to the college.

In May, more than 160 students from 15 Oklahoma high schools graduated with both a high school diploma and a TCC credential.

Over the past two years, TCC has conferred more than 6,800 degrees and 500 certificates, its highest two-year totals ever.

What's next

Enrollment remains open for TCC's second eight-week term beginning Oct. 12 and for the Spring 2027 semester.
