Union hosts undefeated Yukon for homecoming Friday, Oct. 9, at 7 p.m. at Tuttle Stadium, one week after the Redhawks snapped a four-game losing streak.

The Class 6A-I District 2 matchup pits a Union team riding its first win of 2026 against a Yukon squad that has not lost a game, according to Union Public Schools.

Union (1-4 overall, 0-1 in district) broke through on Oct. 2 with a 31-16 road win at Booker T. Washington. The Tulsa World reported that quarterback Dylan Taylor, running back Dallas Maxey and Greyson Betts helped power the victory at S.E. Williams Stadium. Defensive lineman Jeremiah Jones pressured BTW quarterback Jordan DeRoin throughout the game.

That win was a non-district contest. Union's only district game this season was a 49-31 loss to Jenks on Sept. 25.

The Millers are 6-0 overall and 2-0 in district play, leading the District 2 standings, according to MaxPreps. They have outscored opponents 298-122 this season, including a 76-42 win over Bartlesville on Oct. 2.

Yukon's season includes a 70-0 rout of Westmoore on Sept. 11 and a one-point, 36-35 win over Mustang on Sept. 4. Junior wide receiver Zayden Khalil is averaging 89.2 receiving yards per game.

Head coach Antonio Graham, a former Union linebacker, returned to lead his alma mater. Graham has spoken about the importance of district games throughout the season.

"With it being a rival game and a district game, there's just more … more motivation that you want to kind of get after them and hopefully get the win," Graham said on Sept. 24, previewing the Backyard Bowl against Jenks on News On 6.

A loss Friday would drop Union to 0-2 in district play with four district games remaining. A win would give the Redhawks their first district victory of 2026 against the district's top-ranked team.

Tickets are available at unionfb.com. After homecoming, Union travels to Moore on Thursday, Oct. 15, for a 7 p.m. district game. Yukon hosts Owasso the same night.
