Ryan Bassham, already facing two first-degree murder charges in a deadly Sand Springs explosion, was arrested again Aug. 31 on allegations he ran an illegal marijuana operation in Creek County.

Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics (OBN) agents took Bassham into custody for allegedly operating a marijuana grow and processing facility near Kellyville, according to the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation. He was booked into the Creek County jail on three charges: aggravated trafficking of a controlled and dangerous substance, aggravated manufacturing of a controlled and dangerous substance and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.

The arrest came one day after Bassham posted a $2 million bond and walked out of the Tulsa County jail.

Bassham surrendered to Tulsa County deputies Aug. 30, on two counts of first-degree murder filed by the Tulsa County District Attorney's Office. Those charges stem from an explosion around 1 a.m. Aug. 27, at the Morrow Gill Business Complex near Morrow Road and Lincoln Avenue in Sand Springs. Two people died. One was pronounced dead at the scene. The other died later at a hospital. OSBI confirmed both victims were Bassham's employees.

According to OSBI, the blast was caused by a THC extraction process at a business called Solos Extracts LLC. An affidavit states Bassham took over the business earlier in 2026 but never applied for a new OBN registration under his name, KTUL reported. The fire marshal had reportedly told Bassham to stop operating because of failed inspections.

Sharron Lancaster, who was staying in a 38-foot RV near the business complex, told KJRH the blast shook her awake. "I was scared to death. I didn't know what had happened," Lancaster said. "It had to be something tremendous to shake my RV."

The Tulsa County Sheriff's Office set Bassham's bail at $1 million per murder charge. According to the sheriff's website, Bassham posted both bonds the same day he was booked.

Bassham's cases now span two counties. In Tulsa County, he faces two first-degree murder charges. In Creek County, he faces the three drug and firearms charges. OSBI and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives are still investigating the cause of the Sand Springs explosion. No Creek County court date has been announced.
